File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is the fancy name given to 'sending your files to the internet'.  Basically.  FileZilla is the program I use to do this task, and it is a walk in the park.  Transferring your files is a serious matter though, choose the wrong transfer method and your files will look like swiss cheese in the browser!

I show you how to setup your local files, your remote files, what transfer settings you need and what to watch out for.  Just the basics.

Lesson 1: FileZilla and FTP (17:04 mins)

  • Setting up your Site Files
  • Setting up your Local Files
  • Setting the remote Folder
  • Navigating in FileZilla
  • Transfer Protocols to know
  • What to watch out for
  • Don't overwrite your files by mistake!

Click the video icon to the left to begin your tutorial

NB: If you are using Internet Explorer, you will have to click inside the
white area in the new popup window to play the file.

You don't really need 5 windows open with Filezilla

Very easy to use commands on top to shut and open where desirable

I often just have my pc's files and server (public html) only!
