What Makes a Great Sales Letter
Wednesday, 14 May 2008

Many of you will have a great idea or product and need to get it from idea to money maker. In order to do this, you will need the following:

1. A great template

We firmly believe at EzMiniSites.com that the template you use has the greatest affect on your sales. As we spoke about in our last blog entry, your sales letter is your virtual sales representative. Just like you wouldn't buy from a sales persons who turned up in rags, you (and your customers) are very unlikely to purchase anything from a ragged site.

We've studied in depth the templates that work and spend quite a long time researching what sells/converts best. There are cerain structures which work well, colours that sell and fonts that attract. While we could go into this in much more depth, and no doubt will in another article, it is suffice to say that we have done the work for you.

Of course you are always welcome to develop your own template, do your own due dilligence, usability testing, split testing and analysis on what works and what doesn't. The question is.... Are you in the business of creating templates or creating sales? My advice is to have a look at our templates and see which one suits you.

This often puts a look of pure fear in folks eyes, as people don't know where to get startand. My advice would be to relax, while this is somehting which can be time consuming; there is a forumula to writing good copy and we provide help on how to write good sales copy.

The basic needs for good copy, though some might sound obvious, are:

  1. A good command of English
  2. Full understanding of the product of service you are offering
  3. Knowing who your target audience is.

3. Personality... we all have it

Yes, you must need personality. You will be writing somewhat a personal letter from you to your prospects so be friendly and approachable in your letter.

The internet is rather informal, and good sales letters reflect this. Don’t write a stiff letter, because not only is it boring to read, you turn people away from your web page faster than you can say 'lost sale'!

Mix your writing skills with personality, and you will make most of a perfect salesletter that sells!

And last but not least, you need…

 3. To take action!

This comes back to what we said at the start... you need to go from idea to money maker. In order to do this, you need to take action. There is wealth of information on how you can write your own killer sales copystaring at you – don’t waste them by not doing anything with the information!

Got it? Now, let’s get started. Choose the template which suits you (there are a massive selection for you to pick from). If you are a Bronze member, you will have access to our Free Templates, if you are looking for our Gold or Platinum templates, just upgrade and have them available to you immediately.

Mise le meas,
